Roy Thomson Hall was completed in 1982 and renovated in 2002 and still standing to this very day. Roy Thomson Hall is located on 60 Simcoe street Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The hall used to be called, New Massey Hall, it got its new name from the family of Roy Thomson. Roy Thomson’s publishing empire, “Thomson Corporation” donated 4.5 million dollars. The 4.5 million was used to complete fundraising for the new hall. The hall is one of the most important venues used by the Toronto International Film Festival.
